It should come as no surprise to you that at Jeffrey's Grocery, we love our oysters. So we were pumped when we learned about the Billion Oyster Project, a local ecosystem restoration and education project that aims to improve New York Harbor and reconnect us to the water. We recently signed on to be one of a handful of NYC restaurants that donate all our shells to BOP in an effort to restore a billion live oysters to our harbor by 2035. Exciting to know that the large number of oyster shells we collect now go towards harvesting thousands of new baby oysters!
Caviar usually calls for a special occasion, but we think you should be able to enjoy it any day, any time. To this end, we're now offering a killer caviar service, all day long.
Our current selection includes domestically harvested grinnel and sturgeon, with different sizes available depending on your mood. Whatever caviar you order, it will come to the table with the full spread: blinis, chives, crème fraîche, chopped egg and - in fine Jeffrey's tradition - our house latkes.
Stop by Monday-Friday between 4 & 6 pm for Oyster Happy Hour. All of our oysters are $1.50 each.
Each morning at Jeffrey's Grocery, stop by for Pastry Chef Lindsey Prokscha's addictive pastries like Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Croissants, Sour Cream Coffee Cake and Cheddar Jalapeno Biscuits (available in the restaurant and to-go). We've also introduced Happy Cooking blend, a proprietary coffee that we created with our friends at Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
